We are keen to attract and develop passionate, motivated and safety-minded people from all backgrounds who want to help support society’s growing need for secure, affordable and clean energy.We are looking for a Process Control Engineer to join our Operations Support Team in Perth.In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining, modifying, and enhancing the Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS), ensuring the seamless functionality of offshore production.Key responsibilities:Champion safety as the highest priority by emphasising Process Safety and ensuring alignment with Occupational Health and Safety standards.Deliver daily process control support, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.Proactively monitor control loops and evaluate their performance against process and safety standards.Implement and maintain Base Layer Regulatory and Advanced Process Control systems.Collaborate with the Safety Instrumented Function (SIF) Demand Team to investigate and deliver innovative Process Control solutions.Support the management of Operator Training Simulators (OTS) to ensure effective learning outcomes.Provide technical support for Alarm Management.Build strong relationships with maintenance and production teams to ensure the plant operates and is maintained to meet business expectations.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other engineers.What we’re looking for:A Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent qualification.Proven experience in a similar role within the oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical industries.Proven experience in ICSS Systems (i.e., Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Advanced Process Control (APC), Safety Instrumented System (SIS), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Process Data Historians (PDH) required.Expertise in work planning, execution, and cost/budget management.The ability to independently organise and execute technical evaluations.Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal stakeholders on technical matters.This role is for applicants residing in or willing to domestically relocate to Perth.Closing date for applications is 31 January 2025.
