Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Buying Assistant to join our Merchandise Team. In this role, you will provide operational support to the Buyer, focusing on administrative tasks, order management, and sample administration.
* Purchase Orders: Write purchase orders and manage the purchase order process with vendors, including follow-ups.
* Article Creations: Ensure accurate article details in SAP.
* Markups and Markdowns: Manage markups and markdowns, ensuring correct pricing in SAP.
* Administrative Tasks: Complete relevant tasks in a timely manner on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
* Merchandise Reports: Analyze and interpret key business issues using merchandise reports.
* Sample Management: Administer samples and promotional activities.
* Communication: Maintain communication with vendors and internal teams for timely shipments.
* Supplier Relationships: Manage external relationships with suppliers and overseas buying agents.
Requirements
* 1-2 years' experience in a Retail background, preferably in a support office environment or store environment.
* Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite, with intermediate Excel skills, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
* Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with stakeholders.
