This role
The purpose of this role is to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems throughout Fiona Stanley Hospital. You will work as part of a team to respond to maintenance activities, perform planned and preventative maintenance, and ensure the smooth operation of hospital facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Repair and maintain hydraulic piped systems, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal.
* Study building plans and inspect structures to assess materials and equipment needs.
* Undertake minor construction tasks using relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines.
* Assess risks associated with daily activities and report any hazards.
Key Skills and Experience
* Demonstrated experience working with various plumbing materials, including HDPE fusion weld, Aquatherm plastic pipe system, and Rehau plastic pipe system.
* Ability to resolve service delivery issues in accordance with program objectives.
* Makes clear judgments around matters that can be handled effectively without escalation.
* Assesses occupational health and safety needs to meet job requirements.
* Maintains a professional and positive working relationship with stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Trade certificate in a relevant plumbing discipline.
* Valid West Australian Plumbing trade licence.
* Valid West Australian Back flow prevention licence (desirable).
