Hopetoun Village, nestled in the scenic Sydney Hills Area, is looking for enthusiastic individuals to become part of our Gardening Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work locally in an aged care setting, creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces for our valued residents.
About the Role: We are searching for dedicated and service-focused gardening professionals to support our residents by maintaining village gardens as well as individual outdoor spaces.
Reporting to the Village Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring our gardens remain vibrant, welcoming, and well-kept.
Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will help enhance the environment for all who call Hopetoun Village home.
Each day brings variety, from landscaping and garden upkeep to equipment maintenance and resident interactions.

Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality garden and grounds maintenance, including mowing, edging, pruning, and weed control.
Plant and nurture flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the village's beauty.
Conduct regular garden inspections to identify and resolve any issues.
Maintain irrigation systems for efficient water use.
Apply fertilizers and pesticides safely to promote plant health.
Ensure gardening tools and equipment are kept in excellent condition.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to uphold the overall appearance of the village.
Engage with residents to understand their gardening preferences and incorporate feedback.
Adhere to workplace safety policies and contribute to a positive work environment.
Make informed decisions regarding costs, priorities, and maintenance plans.
What We're Looking For: Experience in garden maintenance, particularly in retirement villages or aged care settings, is highly desirable.
A valid NSW driver's license.
Horticulture training and/or experience is an advantage.
A strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive attitude.

A genuine passion for supporting the elderly.
