St John Ambulance Australia (NT) Inc. (St John) is a self-funding charitable organisation dedicated to helping the people of Northern Territory in sickness, distress, suffering, and danger. We provide emergency and non-emergency ambulance services under contract to the Northern Territory Government and deliver a range of first aid services including world-class first aid training, first aid kits, and medical services at events to enable public safety.
We are currently seeking a full-time Store Person. This position is responsible for the ordering, handling, and delivery of stock to all departments within St John NT.
The Position
1. General warehouse duties, including loading and unloading deliveries using a forklift.
2. Assisting with inventory control, including use of inventory management software.
3. Receipt and dispatch of goods.
4. Safe delivery and collection of goods to various St John NT locations in the Greater Darwin area.
5. Maintaining the tidiness and safety of storage areas.
Our ideal candidate will have:
1. A current forklift licence - or able to obtain within 3 months.
2. At least 2 years of experience in a previous warehouse role.
3. Purchasing and inventory management experience.
4. The ability to multitask, with strong time management skills.
5. A good understanding of stock control and purchasing procedures.
6. Experience with office software applications including Excel and Outlook.
7. A willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
8. A full, clean driving licence.
Employment with St John NT is subject to a Criminal History Check, Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), and must be compliant with the St John NT Immunisation Policy. Employment for this position is subject to successful completion of a Functional Capacity and Medical Examination.
