About the Role
The Data Analyst role at RWM involves managing, analyzing, and optimizing financial data to support decision-making within the finance team.
This position entails enhancing data validation accuracy, developing interactive dashboards, automating processes, and providing data-driven insights to strengthen financial efficiency, forecasting, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough data validation and cleansing to ensure financial data accuracy and integrity.
* Develop error-detection mechanisms to minimize reporting errors.
* Enhance data cleansing and preprocessing techniques to improve the quality of financial datasets.
* Support department requests by designing custom datasets, queries, and financial models.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, process, and prepare data based on finance and business unit requirements.
* Design and maintain interactive dashboards in Microsoft Excel or Power BI to enhance financial reporting.
* Develop data visualization strategies that improve data literacy across the finance team.
* Train finance team members to interpret and use data effectively in decision-making.
* Serve as a liaison between the finance team and other departments to ensure seamless data integration.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
* Strong experience in data analysis, financial reporting, and business intelligence.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and automation tools.
* Solid understanding of financial datasets, KPIs, and modeling.
* Experience in data validation, cleansing, and accuracy improvement techniques.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear, actionable way.
