We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer for a 6-month contract with a strong potential for extension. This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-impact data migration project, supporting business-critical applications and collaborating with various stakeholder groups. Responsibilities: Engage with SMEs to gather, validate, and verify data migration requirements. Work collaboratively with testing and project teams, aligning with test plans, systems, and defect triage processes. Communicate effectively, developing project communication channels and fostering collaboration among internal and external stakeholders. Gather business and technical data migration requirements with vendors and project teams. Adhere to Jira and Quality Centre practices, processes, and ceremonies. Operate within agile constructs, grouping work items and aligning tasks with project priorities. Report on project status, issues, and risks, providing input on schedule, quality, and operational tasks. Enhance in-house applications for improved user experience and functionality. Contribute to managing IT contractors, consultants, and risks affecting business continuity. Essential Criteria: Strong knowledge of software development techniques, converting business requirements into functional transformations in large environments. Advanced SQL programming skills, including performance tuning and working on large data migration projects. Proficiency in relevant migration technologies, including ETL tools. Experience designing, coding, testing, and deploying SQL objects to single/multiple database targets. Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
