About the role:
We are thrilled to be offering a two-year New Graduate position for an Occupational Therapist with the Children, Young People and Family Team on the Lower Mid North Coast. In this role, you will work closely with the paediatric Allied Health community services, conducting assessments and interventions for children aged 0-18 years.
This position offers the chance to implement innovative and engaging models of care. You will have the opportunity to educate families and caregivers, create educational videos for centres, and use virtual care to monitor progress and provide additional support. Additionally, you will deliver outreach services to surrounding areas, ensuring children receive the services they need when they need them.
As part of our Paediatric New Graduate program, you will collaborate with Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists across our district.

About us:
You would be working as part of the Children, Young People and Families Service, providing care across the beautiful Lower Mid-North Coast. You will work alongside other Occupational Therapists, Allied Health clinicians, and Child and Family Health Nurses, meeting the Occupational Therapy needs of children and their families in our area. You would be based at Taree Community Health service, outreaching alongside team members to Forster, Bulahdelah, and Gloucester.
Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality care to children and their families. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced senior staff and be supported by a dynamic and friendly team to deliver patient-centred Occupational Therapy services. The successful applicant will receive orientation and training while in the role. We encourage and support both internal and external support, with regular monthly clinical supervision, support through the new graduate program, and the completion of mandatory education requirements. We are very keen to help you develop your knowledge and skills so will provide $800 for Professional Development support to be allocated annually while you complete this two-year program.
About the Lower Mid North Coast:
Based in the glorious Lower Mid North Coast of NSW you will have rivers, beaches, and rainforests on your doorstep. * Are keen to participate in ongoing team projects and service developments
* Have a willingness to learn and develop skills across all areas of paediatric occupational therapy
* Motivated and flexible, committed to the wellbeing and quality outcomes of clients
* Enjoy working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team
* Have graduated from university within the last year.
Requirements:
* Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in Occupational Therapy and hold general registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
* Current registration with AHPRA.
* Current eligibility to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.
