About the role Mater Engineering and Maintenance currently has a wonderful opportunity for a Plumber to join the team in a permanent full-time basis working a 9-day fortnight. In this role you will carry out repairs and maintenance tasks to Mater Health Services facilities as directed in order to maintain the Mater facilities in a safe and well-presented condition. Salary range: $43.36 per hour plus 11.5% super and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 access to many staff benefits What you’ll be doing Key duties will include: Ensure effective communication with Trade Group Manager on a regular basis throughout the day on issues regarding daily work plan and work activities. Ensure all work is carried out in a manner providing the safety of patients, visitors and staff whilst ensuring all access and services are maintained where practical. Provide quality technical skills and knowledge to ensure all work is completed in a timely and cost effective manner. Interact and coordinate effectively with workshop team members and other trade disciplines to ensure positive job outcomes on multi trade tasks. Record accurate data on provided iPads including job sheets and timesheets and sign as required on a daily basis. Provide 24hour maintenance service by participating in on-call roster will be required About you To be successful in this role you will possess the following: Certificate III in Plumbing and Drainage or higher Current full Occupational Plumbing and Drainage Licence An understanding of Occupational, Health, Safety and Welfare Legislation and Regulations pertaining to Plumbing. Demonstrated experience in building hydraulics maintenance Current Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV) and Backflow Prevention endorsements A good understanding of servicing, testing and replacement of TMVs and backflow prevention devices Demonstrated experience in the use of electric eels and various drain clearing equipment including CCTV pipe inspection cameras Current “C” Class Driver’s licence Well-developed time management and organisation skills Sound verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated experience in a team environment Ability to work unsupervised and autonomously Why join us?
