The Country Chef Bakery Co. is seeking a Procurement Team Leader to join our team in our new facility in Bells Creek on the Sunshine Coast.

About the Role
This is a newly created role reporting to the Head of Supply Chain & Procurement. You will be involved with all aspects of the operational procurement cycle to ensure purchasing meets the requirements of the business. You will drive effective procurement planning, responsible sourcing, and contract management that is aligned with the strategic business needs.
Key responsibilities:
Analyse and report on supply market performance to support planning and sourcing recommendations.
Co-ordinate procurement activities related to onboarding new suppliers, renewing and/or extending current supplier arrangements, and measuring supplier performance.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with critical suppliers.
Investigate alternate supply options to meet ongoing and future business requirements.
Manage contract performance, compliance, and issue resolution (claims, credits, and cost variations).
Support cross-functional teams such as Operations, NPD & QA to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Lead and mentor the Procurement Officer.
About You:
5+ years experience in Procurement/Purchasing.
Diploma in Procurement and Supply - desirable.
Completion of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) accreditation - desirable.
Demonstrated experience in negotiation skills combined with relevant practical purchasing experience.
Highly skilled in maintaining sustainable and productive supply partner relationships.
Knowledge of the Food Manufacturing industry and understanding of its appropriate procurement process and activities - desirable.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills including advanced formulas.
