The Position:
This is a key role in a friendly, motivated team providing manufacturing and mechanical technical support within the ANU Research School of Physics mechanical workshop.
You will primarily support the delivery/support of the ANU's OreAI Program by manufacturing, assembling and installing precision mechanical parts and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and manufacture of bespoke scientific equipment
* Manufacturing, assembling and installing precision mechanical parts and assemblies
* Advising on mechanical design aspects, materials selection and manufacturing processes
The Person We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a qualified mechanical tradesperson with experience producing high-quality high-precision parts using CAD software and CNC equipment.
You should have experience working with prototype, research and development, or scientific parts and assemblies.
