About the Role
The HSE Coordinator will support the HSE Manager and Site Manager in implementing the Site HSE Management Plans. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with ACCIONA Energia’s Global Safety Principles and empowering all personnel to prioritize health and safety. The position is Monday-to-Friday and ideally suited for someone local to the area. However, flexibility for alternate site or travel arrangements may be considered.
Key Responsibilities
1. Promote and uphold ACCIONA’s Health & Safety practices.
2. Advise on the WHS Management Plan and review safe systems of work.
3. Conduct risk workshops, inductions, site inspections, and HSE meetings.
4. Ensure compliance with work practices, audits, and hazardous material management.
5. Lead incident investigations and maintain HSE documentation.
6. Deliver training, toolbox talks, and compliance education.
7. Support emergency and crisis management activities.
8. Drive WHS system improvements and collaborate within a global team.
Experience & Qualifications
1. Experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within electrical infrastructure, high-voltage (HV), or substation projects.
2. Diploma in OHS/Environment highly regarded.
3. ICAM trained with practical application experience.
4. Skilled in developing and implementing safety management systems.
5. Trainer/Assessor and OHS systems auditor qualifications are a plus.
6. Strong knowledge of local laws, codes, and regulations.
7. Excellent report writing, communication, and relationship management skills.
8. Able to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a solutions-focused mindset.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
10. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
