Assistant Director, Compliance Education and Learning (Various Opportunities) The Department of Health and Aged Care is looking to fill multiple vacancies at the Executive Level 1 within our Regulatory Compliance Branch. Assistant Director, Compliance Education: responsible for leading and managing a team to prepare and maintain compliance education products (fact sheets, guidance, industry training). Assistant Director, Governance and Learning: responsible for leading the development, design, and evaluation of branch training, standard operating procedures and policies. The key duties of the position include: Responsibilities include: As a member of the Regulatory Compliance Branch, you will work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Duties are to be performed under broad direction of your supervisor and in accordance with the APS Code of Conduct, upholding the APS Values and upholding the office values of independence, impartiality, integrity, accessibility, and professionalism. Responsibilities and duties will be performed in line with APS Work Level standards for the classification and function of each position. The core duties for these roles are to: Lead and manage section members to support compliance and enforcement activities under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 (the Act), including agreeing on clear performance standards, delegating tasks (including allocating cases), providing timely and constructive feedback, identifying learning opportunities, and offering full support when required. Foster a collaborative team environment, building cooperation and effectively leading and motivating staff. Provide expert guidance and advice to the branch and internal stakeholders, addressing a wide range of issues of varying complexity, sensitivity and tasks to ensure informed decision-making. Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging feedback and input from staff at all levels. Support staff wellbeing and contribute towards maintaining a positive culture. Actively support and demonstrate leadership across the Branch, broader Division and Group.
