About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced User Experience Specialist to join our team, with a focus on UI/UX design and accessibility. If you’re passionate about creating user-centered designs that meet WCAG guidelines and have a proven track record in building effective stakeholder relationships, this role is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the elicitation of UI/UX requirements using techniques such as brainstorming, workshops, prototyping, observation, and interviews.
2. Design user experiences aligned with modern UI/UX methodologies and WCAG standards.
3. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicate design ideas, and present clear, concise, and articulate messages to senior leadership.
Essential Qualifications:
1. 4 to 5 years’ experience as a UI/UX designer.
2. Proven experience in gathering and confirming UI/UX requirements.
3. In-depth knowledge of WCAG guidelines and accessibility standards.
4. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and present confidently to senior stakeholders.
5. Citizenship required as working for government client.
Preferred Certifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
2. Familiarity with accessibility requirements in design.
3. Enthusiasm for innovative approaches to accessibility and user-centered design.
