If you're ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of learning, we want to hear from you As a Learning Technologist, you will collaborate closely with the Director to design, coordinate, and implement cutting-edge learning resources and solutions. You'll be at the forefront of developing engaging and interactive materials that support academic staff training and enhance student experiences and learning outcomes. With a commitment to excellence, you will ensure that our instructional design meets educational standards and timelines. We’re looking for innovators who are well-versed in a variety of educational technologies. You should have a strong foundation in instructional design principles, learning theories (including constructive alignment), and assessment design. Familiarity with tools such as PebblePad, Adobe Express, MS Teams, and Microsoft Copilot is vital for success in this role. In this role, you will, but are not limited to: Conduct needs assessments to identify training and/or learning gaps at Curtin University, tailoring effective resources and solutions for staff and/or students accordingly. Design and create engaging learning materials, integrating multimedia elements through Adobe and Curtin's educational technologies, while developing resources that are aligned with high-quality educational standards. Work closely with academics to understand how to innovate learning and assessment and contribute effective improvements. Facilitate training sessions, addressing the unique needs of our staff and/or students and regularly updating materials to ensure quality and relevance. Incorporate the latest learning theories and Generative AI technologies to enhance learning experiences and innovate assessment methods. Selection Criteria Completion of a relevant degree along with significant relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training. Demonstrated leadership in the innovative development of subject and course-level designs, informed by research and/or extensive practical experience. Proven experience in curriculum and/or resource design, with a particular focus on assessment and learning facilitated by educational technologies. Extensive expertise in designing innovative higher education experiences across a variety of degree programs, supported by educational technologies. Demonstrated capability and experience in professional and curriculum development, particularly in capacity building and resource development. Proficiency in learning management systems and key educational technologies, including Video Shooting and Editing, Adobe, Microsoft Teams for Education, Echo365, and PebblePad. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within teams, even in challenging environments. Strong project management and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks or projects to successfully achieve project outcomes on time.
