The Opportunity
CSL (top 5 listed ASX organisation and a leading global biotechnology company) is continuing to invest and grow. Working across our established site at Parkville and our Greenfields state of the art Green 5 star rated facility at Tullamarine, you will be responsible for leading, developing, reviewing and implementing Training, digital platforms and EHS systems management to maintain organisational and regulatory compliance.
This role will also be partnering with business on Safety to ensure CSL activities meet high standards for environmental, health and safety management and to drive continuous improvement.
The Role
1. Oversight of EHS department systems (internal and outsourced), KPI reporting and EHS training programs and foster a culture of continuous improvement in EHS systems management, ease of doing business and process, policy and procedure simplification
2. Be the subject matter expert for EHS Contractor Management and play an important role in the development, implementation and roll out of a new contract management system – business partner with CSL’s value streams to capture all data required
3. Business partner with CSL departments and facilitate and participate in incident investigation analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed
4. Support the EHS group in improving their digital literacy, encourage rigour of system usage and maintain oversight over our digital systems
5. Manage EHS training programs and oversee training courses, preparing for internal and external audits
6. Manage the coordination of site communications and safety initiatives
Your skills and experience
7. Degree within the disciplines of environmental or chemical engineering, chemistry, or other relevant engineering and science degree
8. Experience working in an EHS team or having held roles with a large safety component
9. Practical experience implementing or managing EHS systems, Contractor management and programs. Technical proficiency in digital platforms and system management
10. Business partnering experience and the ability to bring a consultative, problem solving mindset
11. Ability to intervene as needed and appropriate to address safety and environmental concerns.
12. Demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
