Are you driven by a passion for cultural research and eager to make a meaningful impact in the Northern Territory? The Northern Land Council (NLC) is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Research Assistants to join our Anthropology team.
About the Role
As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for collating a range of anthropological material, applying preservation techniques under the guidance of the LIR Supervisor, and leading digitisation efforts within the LIR Library. This role extends to administrative support and ensuring seamless service delivery to stakeholders.
What You Will Bring:
Bring your prowess in problem-solving, using initiative and your exceptional time management skills. Your proven track record of managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines in confidential settings, make you well-suited for this role.
In addition to this, you will have: -
* Minimum Certificate IV in Library Information Services or equivalent, or a related field and/or a minimum of one (1) year experience working in a similar role.
* Knowledge and experience of office software, as well as familiarity with collection management databases and other specialised computer applications.
* Experience in materials conservation practices and techniques or cultural heritage conservation or the ability to rapidly acquire.

We offer:
* A base salary of $66,333 per annum plus 14.5% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
* Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
o District allowance of up to $4,797 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,630 without dependents.
o 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave;
o Paid Christmas close down;
o Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $2,961.
