Salary: $110,000 plus 11.5% superannuation
Our client The Ramps Ridge Services Pty Ltd conducts farming business, sheep, beef and other seasonal agriculture production and covers approximately 3547 ha predominantly dedicated to cotton.
Ramps Ridge Services Pty Ltd is a diversified agribusiness operating in the Riverina district of New South Wales. Ramps Ridge Services are dedicated to sustainable and efficient farming practices, specializing in livestock management, cropping, and irrigation services. The client is nationally accredited from the National Feedlot Assurance quality system and approved for all major markets in the world.
As a key player in the agricultural industry, Ramps Ridge Services provide a dynamic work environment and are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Accountant to join its team to manage financial operations. The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and maintaining financial records to ensure the company’s continued growth and compliance with industry standards.
This role will play a key part in ensuring the financial health of the business, working closely with the senior management team to provide financial insights that support decision-making. The successful candidate will also lead efforts in improving financial efficiencies and identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Qualification and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA or CA) is preferred.
· At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
Your main responsibilities will be:
· Develop and implement financial strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including detailed financial analysis to guide business strategy.
· Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insight into future financial performance and areas for improvement.
· Conduct financial risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the company’s assets.
· Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure the company's financial stability.
· Provide financial advice and insights to senior management on investments, cost management, and capital expenditures.
· Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and financial regulations.
· Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and investment decisions.
· Create, install and monitor internal controls and procedures
· Analyze revenue and expenditure against budget
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations, taxation laws, and financial reporting standards.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have:
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
· Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
