ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the main objective of the Security, Export Control and Procurement Officer is to ensure that Safran Electronics and Defense is compliant with the DISP and Export Control requirements, manage procurement and supplier management activities whilst also setting and maintaining relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Security
•Lead SEDA's Defence Industry Security Programs (DISP) obligations
•Ensure an appropriate system of risk, oversight and management is operated and maintained
•Ensure official, sensitive and classified materials entrusted to SEDA are protected in accordance with DSPF requirements
•SEDA has the correct security in place for tenders and contracts
•Provide SEDA with security advice and support mitigating risks to the business Ensure
•Undertake regular assessment against regulations changes and ensure SEDA's ability to comply with such changes
Export Control
•Ensure compliance with Australian export control legislation and other relevant international obligations, including in relation to US ITAR, as they relate to SEDA's Programs involving Export Controlled Goods and Technologies (ECGT)
•Ensure compliance to Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) prohibitions
•Maintain the Technology Control Plan (TCP) for ITAR controlled technology
•Ensure all SEDA employees are aware of their obligations with regards to Export Control and provide regular training on export control
•Maintain the Export Controls Permit register and Export and/or Import permit applications
•Complete all relevant Export Control applications and provide prompt notice to operational and logistics team
•Manage non-compliance and other export control issues as they arise
•Maintenance of a confidential register of nationalities of all SEDA personnel by SEDA's Human Resources (HR) department for the purposes of export control legal compliance
Procurement and Supplier Management
•Identify the procurement needs of SEDA
•Manage, evaluate, source and on board supply chain partners and suppliers.
•Work with Sales, Programs and Sustainment departments to identify emerging new supply chain needs and expand the supply chain accordingly
•Manage direct and indirect procurement process, including RFQ creation, and managing competitive bidding process
•Monitor supplier performance for optimal business operations performance
•Continuous relationship management with strategic procurement partners
•Manage procurement budgets and devising initiatives to drive efficiency gains
•Compliance to procurement and supplier engagement policies
