Where you'll be working Royal North Shore Hospital, Health Information Services What you'll be doing Perform in accordance with the CORE (Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment) values and promote and contribute to positive work culture within HIS department. Undertake work under limited supervision by interpreting legislation, procedures and other guidelines to provide advice and apply this information to tasks and responsibilities to ensure deliverables are met. Utilise judgement to complete complex functions using established principles, techniques and methods to process all types of RNS medico-legal requests, including but not limited to those relating to ongoing clinical care, deceased, solicitors, subpoenas, insurers, and patients, with limited direction. These requests may be complex and require review of multiple clinical information systems with great attention to detail; and liaison with requestors. Effectively facilitate the scheduling and prioritisation of work by coordinating unit administrative systems, procedures and organisational methods to set priorities and workflow and ensure office efficiency in accordance with LHD policies, procedures and standards. Provide positive first point of contact customer service, ensuring the provision of accurate information and using judgement to escalate enquiries in a confidential, effective and responsive manner. Actively contribute to the achievement of team goals and KPIs through effective communication, collaboration, a strong work ethic, and positive workplace partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Create, maintain and archive files and documents, and ensure all relevant requests are processed via digital methods where applicable, including secure electronic transfer of information and electronic collection of fees.
