Job description: Whitehaven Coal seeks a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team at Daunia Mine. You will play a major role in bridging business needs with employees and management. You will act as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues while serving as an employee champion and change agent.
The successful candidate will deliver HR strategies that support the goals of the business. You will be responsible for ensuring HR policies, procedures, and programs are aligned with the company’s values of Safety, Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Value Creation, and Excellence (STRIVE).
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the mine's business objectives.
* Manage employee relations by addressing demands, grievances and issues.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, legislation and safety regulations.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
* Contribute to the development of a positive work culture that supports teamwork and productivity.
* Create reports and Analyse HR metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
Engage and support stakeholders.
Key Qualifications:
* Strong HR experience, preferably in the Mining or related sectors
* Qualifications in HR or related area are highly regarded
* Strong understanding of employment legislation and Qld industry regulations
* Demonstrated experience in strategic HR management, including talent development
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
* Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with a focus on safety and operational efficiency
* Strong problem solving skills and ability to provide pragmatic solutions.
