About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Information and Data Governance Specialist to join our Cyber Security team at Racing and Wagering WA (RWWA). This role is pivotal in ensuring the protection and effective utilisation of the organisation's information, records, and data assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing governance strategies that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, promoting a culture of data responsibility across the organisation. In this role you will... Lead the development and execution of data governance strategies, policies, and practices. Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to ensure compliance with information management frameworks. Manage data privacy, classification, and records management frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act). Conduct privacy impact assessments and guide data breach response strategies. Deliver staff training on data management, classification, and protection policies. About You A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in information/data management, records management, or related disciplines. Proven experience managing enterprise-wide information and data governance programs. Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, WA Information Classification Policy). Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage cross-functional teams. Experience in managing disaster recovery and data breach incident response plans.
