Tripat Indian Sweets & Savouries Vegetarian restaurant located in Mandurah WA 6210, is looking to employ 2 full time experienced Indian Cuisine CHEFS - Tandoor chef (1) and a Curry Chef (1).Salary $ 73,500 per annum, excluding superannuation.As an Indian Chef, you will be tasked with crafting and presenting a wide range of Indian cuisine, desserts, and savouries using authentic techniques and ingredients.you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality Indian dishes that highlight the diversity of Indian culinary traditions.You'll work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, contributing new ideas and elevating our menu.You will oversee the kitchen operations, manage junior kitchen staff, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are adhered to.Responsibilities Create and prepare a variety of Indian dishes, including sweets and savouries using traditional and modern techniques.Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoor items, and signature recipes.Develop new recipes and seasonal offerings, adding creativity to our menu Design and plan menus that align with restaurant concepts and customer preferences Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.Supervise and train junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and presentation.Ensure efficient kitchen operations and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.Select and source high-quality ingredients Monitor food stock and place orders as needed Work closely with management to develop seasonal specialties and promotions.Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.Qualifications Proven experience as an Indian Chef or similar role Proven experience handling charcoal tandoor and competent preparing tandoori food items (a must for a tandoor Chef) Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Cookery / Hospitality preferred In-depth knowledge of traditional and contemporary Indian cooking techniques Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to manage kitchen staff and work under high-pressure conditions Excellent time management and organizational skills Creative flair and attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork abilities Skills Expertise in Indian cuisine Menu planning Food safety and sanitation Kitchen management Ingredient selection Time management Team leadership Creativity in food presentation
