As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible to the Nursing Director of Older Persons Mental Health and the Principal Occupational Therapist for the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of quality Occupational Therapy services for residents/clients within the Older Persons Mental Health Service of NALHN. The Occupational Therapy team provides comprehensive assessments and interventions for consumers who are experiencing concerns regarding occupational performance. Occupational Therapy adopts a sensory modulation approach to offer insight into an individual's level of functioning and provide non-pharmacological recommendations for reducing distress, maximizing functioning, and enhancing meaningful engagement. In this role, you will work under limited direct clinical supervision and provide direction, supervision, and support to AHP2 and AHP1 Occupational Therapists, Allied Health assistants, and students. You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, liaising directly with the medical and nursing staff of NALHN and with other community agencies.
