Planning Manager
The role offers a roster of 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off or 4 weeks on / 2 weeks off with FIFO travel from Australian capital cities, including a paid travel day on return. Shifts operate from 6am – 6pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break and camp accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the Planning team to deliver a complete Planning/Scheduling service to the project.
2. Supervise and direct all activities of the Planning Focal Point and the Planning Engineers.
3. Prepare weekly/monthly reports as required, analysing contractors' reports.
4. Liaise with the Engineering Manager, Construction Manager, Operations Development and Asset Focal Points to ensure the planning process accurately reflects the work scopes and requirements of the managers.
5. Liaise with the Management Team on all relevant cost and planning issues.
6. Prepare regular status reports and forecasts for project management and client review.
7. Supervise and develop other planning and specialist support staff at home and/or field office locations.
8. Maintain the current and baseline schedule, analyse the effect of proposed changes and maintain the baseline change control authorisation process.
Candidate Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience as a Planning Manager.
* Experience in Mining, Minerals & Metals industry.
* Experience with EPCM projects.
* Able and willing to frequently travel.
* Experience in Planning software including Primavera (P6), MS Project.
