The role is responsible for assessing eligibility and managing and organising data of loan submissions while maintaining good relationships with broker network originators.Roles and responsibilitiesManage and organise loan submission data in accordance with company privacy and data security policies.Conduct assessment of loans by analysing loan application data in accordance with Metro Policies.Suggest improvements to processes and policies related to data analysis and credit assessments where possible.MPS1 Credit Application and Analysis with use of GPS5 Risk Framework as a general guideline.Assessment is within the analyst’s own delegation or recommended up when outside to higher delegation holder. All applications will be processed via the Metro Broker Portal.Communication with brokers on scenarios/decisioningScenarios include potential deal submissions where the sales representative is not available.Decisions include requests for further information/clarification and declining a deal due to incompatibility with Metro Criteria.Enquiries from other departments as required.Includes settlements requests for asset pricing or marking off of approval conditions.Sales requests for deal escalations (urgent assessment) and clarification on post approval matters e.g. inspection reports, bank statement conditions.Also includes Settlement Spreadsheet Sign Off when rostered on to do so.How to succeedThis role would suit a team player with a can-do attitude, willing to take the initiative. You'll possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong numeracy skills, the ability to spread financials and the ability to discuss financial statements with preparers/management.
