Responsibilities
About the role
As a Group Pricing Actuary, you will be responsible for accurate and timely delivery of actuarial pricing analyses of group insurance/reinsurance for new business opportunities, existing client base and internal pricing bases.
Your day may look a little like:
1. Pricing, reviewing and writing up pricing documents of new business and renewals for group insurance/reinsurance
2. Providing actuarial input to the Client and Reinsurance Solutions teams for group insurance product terms and conditions advice
3. Maintaining GL and GSC actuarial pricing models, including loss ratio models, credibility models, termination and profit share costing
4. Keeping up-to-date with market research/reports on group insurance experience analyses and market developments
5. Creating and maintaining a network of group insurance actuaries in life insurancepanies
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
You will need to have:
6. FIAA or equivalent
7. At least two years of experience in the life insurance industry
8. Knowledge of group insurance products and market trends
9. High proficiency in actuarial modelling techniques
10. Sound actuarial technical ability and judgment including problem solving skills
11. Strong technical knowledge of MS Office suite and specifically advanced Excel is required
12. Recognition of the requirement to escalate and involve others as necessary
13. Managing stakeholder expectations
14. Effectivemunication skills, both written and verbal
15. Ability to take ownership of allocated work and ensuring timely delivery of results
16. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
17. Initiative to work independently, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a team environment
18. Ability to prioritise and time management skills in order to meet deadlines
