Your new company Work with an established Australian EPC company specialising in telecommunications and electrical contracting, offering a wide range of services including network design, installation, and maintenance for both commercial and residential clients. Their expertise covers data cabling, fibre optics, and wireless solutions. The successful candidate will be working on a wide range of projects ranging from solar installation to substation design and undertake work on behalf of Transgrid and AusNet. Based in the office within the beautiful Eastern Suburbs, the company boasts a great team culture accompanied by morning beach exercise! Your new role Perform initial design and review processes for civil and structural projects. Help create technical documents, including reports, drawings, and specifications. Carry out site visits to verify compliance and quality during construction. Engage in meetings with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to collaborate effectively. Oversee and distribute design outputs for all disciplines to Project Engineers. Assist the Engineering Manager with coordinating and managing consultants What you'll need to succeed At least 6 months of local experience in infrastructure projects, particularly in high voltage and renewable energy, is highly desirable. Skilled in civil/structural design, covering areas such as hydrology, pavement, stormwater, access roads, geotechnical review, concrete, and wind loading. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with 12d and TUFLOW being highly advantageous. Familiarity with utility infrastructure projects is a plus. Ability to perform geotechnical reviews including slope stability and foundation design Skilled at using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for spatial data analysis.
