The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a maintenance environment, coupled with a motivation to learn and grow, you will be responsible to deliver mechanical equipment reliability and integrity across the Mount Isa plant.
In addition, you will also be responsible for but not limited to:
1. Interpret technical standards, developing/ reviewing strategies to operate and maintain the equipment
2. Being aware of and monitoring compliance
3. Undertaking and organising technical investigations, inspections, studies and surveys
4. Participation in training and development systems for self
5. Ensuring that all equipment assets have effective Reliability and Capability Life plans
About You
Ideally we are looking to hear from people with experience in manufacturing, petro-chemical, oil and gas or similar heavy industry environment.
Other desired skills and experience include:
6. You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
7. Tertiary qualifications in mechanical, materials or manufacturing engineering
8. Good knowledge of materials, failure mechanisms, welding processes and procedures
9. Experience with repair methodologies on vessels and tanks
10. Understanding of RBM (Risk-based Maintenance) and RCM (reliability centered maintenance) strategy development.
11. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, AUTOCAD and SAP PM or similar

The Site
Northern Australian Operations consists of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation and sulphuric acid plants plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation and housing to support the permanent workforce.
