About the role
Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager (Wine), your key focus will be to work with a group of high-profile wine suppliers to ensure strong in-store availability whilst minimizing working capital.
On a day-to day basis you will support the business strategy by supply planning and developing innovative solutions to solve supply network operational issues across the end to end supply chain and driving the implementation of initiatives.
You’ll also:
• Manage day to day supply in line with current business expectations for DCSL, availability, short code and stock cover and managing supplier performance issues to resolution
• Identify and present opportunities to improve the end to end supply chain and drive the implementation of initiatives
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure that working capital is optimized and targets are met
• Manage the range in / out processes to initiate the optimal supply chain
• Conduct reviews of supplier capacity and capability to understand and mitigate risk to supply.
About you and your skills
We’re after a highly skilled professional with demonstrated understanding of supply chain planning, supply chain finance, stock management principles, replenishment and inventory management.
You’ll also:
• Planning and analytical skills gained in a supply chain planning role
• Advanced problem-solving capability, with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to question process and come up with ideas to mitigate supply risks
• Experience in managing supply chain network models and system levers to achieve supply metrics
• An innate set of skills in negotiation, procurement and contract management, including setting up new supply agreements
• A high proficiency for communication, catering for a variety of stakeholder levels including suppliers and internal stakeholders.
