About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a diligent Finance and Clerical Assistant to join the Administration team on a permanent part time basis at St Mary's Catholic High School in Wellington NSW.
Reporting directly to the Principal, the Finance and Clerical Assistant performs a wide range of duties that assist with the overall administration of the school. These duties may consist of (but are not limited to):
1. Financial duties: Maintenance of school accounts, administering and monitoring school fees payments, collecting and recording payments.
2. Reports and Returns: Preparing and generating financial reports, end of year rollover, preparation of statistical return, processing and recording information regarding concessions and overdue debts, grants payments/reconciliation.
3. General duties: Compiling and distributing the school newsletter, handling school enquiries (via in-person, phone, and emails), fleet management, general administrative duties, student attendance management, administering basic first aid.
4. WHS: Adhering to all WHS policies and procedures.
About You
The new Finance and Clerical Assistant will be aligned with the following selection criteria:
1. Possess well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
2. Possess sound computer skills.
3. Positive attitude and effectiveness working in a team environment.
4. Able to work independently.
5. Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
6. A capacity to work collegially and collaborate within a diverse team.
7. Excellent communication and organisational skills, punctuality, and adaptability.
8. Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain).
