With a particular focus on growing existing client relationships Deeply engage with potential stakeholers to drive development within the region. Manage and assist clients through the development process, explaining steps and requirements involved. Use well-developed judgment and experience to deliver reliable advice. Act as a "concierge" for owners, proponents, and investors for significant development projects. Building collaborative relationships with a range of internal technical staff including town planners, building inspectors, engineers, and economic development officers. Have an in-depth understanding of the development industry. Possessing expert knowledge of the NSW Planning frameworks. Influencing the way Council communicates development-related information to the community. COULD THIS BE YOU? We are looking for candidates who have a high-level understanding of the development industry in NSW and have an ability to apply their highly developed skills in providing an expert concierge service to assist high level development proposals, enquiries and complex issues in navigating the local government development space. You will provide accurate and timely advice in response to developer and investor enquiries regarding industry legislation, codes and policies including: Local Environmental Plans and Development Control Plans; The NSW Environmental Planning and Assessment Act (1979); and Other relevant legislation (e.g. biodiversity conservation Act, protection of the environment operations Act, state environmental planning policies (SEPP) Using your exceptional customer service skills you will apply conflict resolution strategies, have exceptional time management and have the ability to work anonymously. TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED Three year Degree and Post Graduate Qualifications or 4 year Degree in Planning or relevant discipline Drivers Licence Demonstrated experience in development assessment or strategic planning Demonstrated skillset in identifying work priorities and applying time management techniques; and Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
