and for our inclusive and authentic character.Our purpose is to create sustainable value with our clients, people and communities.That means we have a proud history of providing excellence to clients, nurturing our people and giving back to the communities in which we live and work.We value excellence, curiosity and collaboration.Clients rely on us for our responsive, commercial approach.Our clients include government departments and agencies, private and publicly listed companies, and small and large businesses in Australia and overseas.Our national Brand and Marketing team sits within the broader Client & Market Growth team at Minter Ellison and is a high performing and critical component of the law firm and essential to the firm's success.Minter Ellison's Marketing and Events team organise and host in-person, digital and hybrid events for clients of the firm.Events range from small or large in size and profile, and include sponsorship activations, seminars/webinars, lunches and dinners.Your Role A fantastic full-time opportunity is available in our Sydney office for an experienced Marketing and Events Consultant to join our Sydney team, on a 6 month contract with hybrid working arrangements available.In this role you will have the opportunity to: Work with the Industry teams on the development of the event strategy, assisting set objectives, agreeing event ROI and success measures and developing events that supports Industry profiling and relationship development and revenue growth objectives Event management: Responsible for the delivery of consistently high quality events in the active Sydney office, NSW/ACT and firmwide nationally Manage all aspects of events end-to-end including logistics, invitations, registrations, communications, post attendee liaison, etc.while working closely with senior stakeholders.Support the Sydney Office Managing Partner and various Industry and Line of Business portfolios in planning and delivery of impactful events and activities for clients and staff.Ensure event processes, calendars, budgets and protocols are followed including debrief reports to relevant partners and CMG team.Assist national Marketing and Events team-members with delivery of in-person and digital events Work closely with client services team using a range of external catering suppliers.Undertake research, form relationships, manage and negotiate with vendors and external consultants to offer solutions and provide alternate plans in difficult situations Firm wide initiatives Lead the organisation, project management and implementation of a range of firm wide internal and external events Support the delivery of firm wide initiatives, events, communications, sponsorships and other strategic and high profile events ranging small to large Sponsorship/Partnership engagement Manage existing sponsorships and partnerships in the Sydney office, providing advice on activation Ensure Sydney sponsorship activations are aligned to the local/regional markets plan Work with the Senior Marketing Manager on the assessment and negotiation of new sponsorships Marketing multi-media and content support Support the Marketing Managers on firmwide and portfolio marketing campaigns, contributing event ideas, assisting with the development of marketing plans and overseeing delivery as required by Marketing Managers.Assist with editing and publishing of communications and articles for client communications.Videography skill and experience in filming production and editing are an advantage.More About You The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and experience: Tertiary qualification in marketing, public relations or event management, or suitable relevant experience Minimum of 7 years' experience in event management in a high volume, corporate environment Excellent planning and time management skills, including an ability to handle conflicting deadlines and work with multiple stakeholders at all levels Strong attention to detail and project coordination skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage conflicting requests where required and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure a high quality of service is provided Sound knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, including Word, Power Point and Excel.Intermediate Excel knowledge an advantage Commercial orientation, managing budgets, performance and return on investment evaluation Ability to manage digital, video conferencing platforms and hybrid events with willingness to learn – includes creative and functional skills to design and deliver events in line with brand guidelines Flexibility to work outside standard business hours is also critical Ability to work autonomously to get the job done Why Minter Ellison We offer flexible working options to encourage balance, wellbeing and support for sustainable ways of working and a range of social, financial and health benefits, including free gym membership -
