The Position:
1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet menu specifications
2. Ensure food quality and presentation meet established standards
3. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including bulk food preparation
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
5. Follow food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment
6. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service
7. Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in various kitchen operations

Minimum Criteria:
15. Ability to undertake regular travel to site on a DIDO/FIFO roster
16. Ability to work in a remote and physically demanding environment
17. A proactive and solutions-focused approach to ensure kitchen operations run smoothly
18. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
19. Strong knowledge and application of food safety and hygiene
20. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
21. Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food preparation
22. Strong teamwork and communication skills
23. Experience in bulk cooking, high-volume catering or remote village operations is preferred
24. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (essential)
25. Safe Food Handling Certificate (desired)
26. Physically fit with the ability to successfully pass pre-employment medical requirements
