This essential role will drive a culture of environmental responsibility within our organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesAs an Environment Consultant, you will be responsible for:Ensuring adherence to environmental compliance requirements through the effective management of inspection, auditing, and reporting programs.Developing improved mitigation measures.Providing timely advice on a full range of environmental issues, including the development of Construction Environmental Management Plans.Assisting project management teams in conducting operations that minimize pollution and adverse environmental impacts.Actively managing environmental incidents to minimise harm and ensure compliance with legislation.Facilitating continuous improvement in the management of oil-filled assets and containment systems.Leading projects aimed at improving the organization's environmental footprint.Overseeing data collection and analysis related to national reporting obligations.Delivering environmental awareness training to staff and contractors to promote best practices.What You BringIn this role, you will bring a wealth of expertise and knowledge that is essential for driving environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives at SA Power Networks. You hold a degree in Environmental Science or a related field, complemented by extensive experience in a similar position within a large, complex organization. Your strong understanding of relevant State and Commonwealth environmental legislation and policies, particularly in the electricity supply industry, equips you to navigate the regulatory landscape effectively.As an Environmental Consultant, you will apply your exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with advanced negotiation and communication capabilities, which will enable you to collaborate seamlessly with various stakeholders. Your ability to align safety and environmental initiatives with the Work Health Safety & Environment team will enhance overall operational effectiveness.
