Principal Strategic Planner / Team Leader Planning Services Work for a regional council located in a scenic, famous winery and culinary region on the south side of Australia. This role will oversee a planning team of 4, with primary responsibility to deliver strategic urban and regional/rural planning projects - including but not limited to Council growth strategy, regional land use strategy, growth area structure planning reviews, etc. Reporting to the Division Director, this role would suit someone who is looking for a tree change or to step up in their career by taking on responsibilities to lead and mentor young planners. This is a perfect opportunity to gain further experience in a region that has a blend of urban, rural, and coastal planning issues through taking ownership to deliver key Council's strategic planning projects over the next 2 years. We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge in strategic planning in a local/regional government context in Australia, with at least 7 years of experience. The position is full-time (9-day working fortnight), fixed term basis (2 years). Relocation support is negotiable for the right candidate.
