Business Unit Manager, Dermatology
About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Business Unit Manager to lead our Dermatology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operations, strategy, and performance of the Dermatology business unit.
Main Responsibilities
1. Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the marketing and sales teams.
2. Drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge marketing strategies.
3. Help lead and coach the sales team to optimise performance and achieve sales objectives.
4. Gather, analyse and synthesise data to generate impactful insights that drive action.
5. Foster effective collaboration across various departments.
6. Oversee financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
7. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of business initiatives.
8. Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential challenges.
9. Build and nurture high-performing teams.
10. Adhere to AbbVie's internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
Requirements
1. Tertiary qualification with Marketing/Business or Science disciplines or equivalent.
2. Breadth of industry experience in both sales and marketing leadership roles.
3. Proven experience (at least 10 years) in leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
4. Previous experience working with Dermatologists is highly valued.
5. Proven ability to inspire and lead a team, and work effectively cross-functionally.
6. Strong leadership, team management and interpersonal skills.
7. Demonstrated ability to make crucial commercial decisions.
8. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
9. Proven track record of delivering innovative solutions.
