About this position
An opportunity has become available within the Leisure and Culture Branch to work in a casual capacity in the City's Library Service. The City has four libraries at Gosnells, Beckenham, Thornlie and Southern River and the successful applicant may be rostered to work at any of these four locations.
The City's library service is open seven days per week. In addition to weekdays, applicants must be available to work weekend and evening shifts as required. The ability to undertake children's programs would be an advantage (this will require a valid Working with Children Check).
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
* Experience in a customer-facing role
* Good problem solving skills
* Good time management skills
* Ability to undertake multifaceted tasks in a library environment.
Essential requirements
* Current National Police clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role, but may be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
