Newmont Tanami is on Aboriginal freehold land 540km northwest of Alice Springs. It is a long-life, low-cost, world-class asset in a core Newmont region. The Tanami Expansion 2 project, aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa. Both the successful exploration within the underground operation and implementation of the first Tanami Expansion has laid the foundation to further develop the operation to remain a major contributor to the Newmont portfolio. A fully equipped camp is located 40km from the site offering leisure facilities for those flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.

The Role
As the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be instrumental in planning and coordinating daily and weekly Processing Electrical and Camp Maintenance activities. Your role will ensure these activities are conducted safely and efficiently while meeting performance objectives. A crucial aspect of your responsibilities will be to guarantee that all maintenance staff adhere to statutory and safety requirements, best work practices, and personal conduct standards. This will be achieved through regular daily safety reviews, prioritizing work tasks appropriately, and ensuring the availability of necessary resources, tools, and equipment. Additionally, you will address daily and weekly technical and logistical challenges effectively.
You are required to work collaboratively with planners and reliability staff to continuously monitor and improve planning data and equipment performance, along with organizing the timely approval and scoping of defect works to a high level of detail, quality, and accuracy.

Skills & Experience
* Trade qualified and hold an "A" grade electrical licence
* Previous experience in a mining, heavy industrial, processing, or manufacturing environment, with experience in a supervisory role, preferably within the gold mining industry
* Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills and skilled in mentoring others
* Exhibit well-developed leadership abilities and problem-solving abilities
* Understands financial and administrative processes and responsibilities
Working Conditions
The position is FIFO, operating on an 8:6 work roster with hiring points from Darwin, Alice Springs, Perth, and Brisbane.
