The CNS2 will demonstrate expert knowledge and clinical skills in the field of prostate. This is a full-time role, based within the outpatient setting working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team. This is a funded position from the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
The Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse works across the continuum of care including the community, ambulatory and inpatient services enhancing the continuity and quality of care for patients diagnosed with localized and advanced prostate cancer.
The Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse will work with the collegiate support of other specialist nurses in tumour streams at Lifehouse and have the capacity to drive specialist program development, interdisciplinary collaborations and networks across the health sectors.
The Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse will support and promote the work of the Prostate Cancer Foundation and assist in the development of prostate cancer specific coordinated and evidence-based, seamless, patient-centered care.
Minimum Requirements :
1. Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Association (AHPRA)
2. Minimum 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience
3. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary context
4. Ability to work effectively as a team member
5. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Evidence of participation in and commitment to quality improvement and best practice principles
