Enrolled Nurse (Perioperative), Queensland Health
Gladstone Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our team in a permanent part-time position within the Perioperative Unit.
As an Enrolled Nurse in our Perioperative Unit, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to patients undergoing elective and emergency surgeries. Our unit includes two operating rooms, a procedure room, and services such as Day Surgery, the Pre-Anaesthetic Clinic, and the Central Sterilising Services Department.
Enrolled Nurses with relevant experience in operating theatres will be considered for this role!

About us:
The Perioperative Unit is located in block seven in the West Wing of Gladstone Hospital. The Gladstone Hospital has two operating rooms and a procedure room. Services include elective and emergency surgery, Day Surgery, Pre-Anaesthetic Clinic, and Central Sterilising Service Department. The Perioperative Unit provides clinical care through the development and maintenance of relevant and proven patient care standards involving ongoing research in clinical applications.
About the role:
* Use nursing knowledge and skills to support and contribute to the delivery of patient/client/resident centred care and to gain support to address care needs that are outside scope of practice.
* Respond and provide for the physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/clients/residents within the health care environment.
* Contribute to the development and review of care plans, in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and the patient.
About you:
* Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate are mandatory for this position.
* Experience working in a Perioperative Unit is highly valued or applicable skills.
* Proven ability to work effectively as a member of a team with an ability to facilitate, promote and adapt to change.
* Ability and motivation to continually progress own competency along the continuum from novice to advanced level.

Total remuneration value of up to $27,239 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $35.92 - $38.12 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
