Group/Division/Branch The Housing and Human Services team advises the Government on opportunities to improve the accessibility, affordability, supply and sustainability of Victoria's housing market, through best practice policy development and delivery.
This team is also responsible for the monitoring and oversight of the Housing Statement initiatives across DTF including delivery of some initiatives.
This team involves strong stakeholder engagement and negotiations for key intergovernmental housing agreements.
The team is also responsible for researching and identifying new policy opportunities to improve housing across Victoria.
The team has a positive, high-performing culture and proactively invests in the professional development of its members.
About the role This role will be ideal for someone who is passionate about the housing sector and wants to be part of driving positive change for the community.
In the role, you will be required to take the lead on policy reforms and/or projects, analyse reports, market intelligence and data to provide an evidence base to inform policy outcomes, including stakeholder engagement to deliver outcomes within strict timeframes.
Critical thinking, the ability to absorb information quickly and provide succinct and accurate advice to managers and executives, communicate effectively with government and external stakeholders and effectively manage and deliver projects and policy reforms with multiple and competing priorities are key to success in this role.
