About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Engineer Mechanical to provide technical expertise and guidance.
In this role, you will support the Engineering teams for mechanical investigation, collaborating with business partners to adopt suitable new technologies.
Your forensic abilities will be crucial in resolving issues for optimal outcomes.
As an experienced engineer, you will influence and contribute expertise across the corporation, working with other teams on site to investigate and resolve problems and processes.
You will maintain high engineering proficiency, delivering exceptional advice and technical auditing services for SA Water's capital projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert support in Mechanical engineering matters across the corporation.
* Offer technical guidance in Safety in Design (SiD) matters.
* Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to enhance the teams' capabilities.
* Identify and evaluate new technologies, driving innovation and best practice improvements in Mechanical engineering standards and practices.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders ensuring effective communication with engineering teams, project managers, vendors and contractors.
* Determine suitability of new and emerging technology to benefit the corporation.
* Support the Engineering design/studies team for mechanical investigation.
* Travel to sites to assess engineering situations frequently.
Your Skills and Experience
1. Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Postgraduate qualifications are desirable but not essential.
3. S sound knowledge of Mechanical engineering procedures and practices.
4. Experience in the provision of investigation, concept and detailed design of Mechanical infrastructure.
5. Demonstrated experience in executing complex and critical engineering investigations.
6. Knowledge to develop project-specific mechanical specifications.
7. Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia (EA) or in the process of obtaining chartership with EA is desirable.
