We are currently seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Manager to join their technical team in Sunshine Victoria. This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a leadership role, overseeing laboratory operations while ensuring the highest standards of testing, quality control, and technical services for premium products. Reporting into the R&D Services Manager you will oversee the smooth running of the lab daily, including all budgets/CAPEX, safety and ISO regulations that apply with it. You will report back on all metrics and regularly formulate corrective actions where necessary to see results perform to targets. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Quality Control and Technical Services teams, ensuring performance goals are met, industry standards are upheld, and a culture of continuous improvement is fostered. Oversee laboratory budgets, including both capital and operational expenses, collaborating with the Research & Lab Service Manager to identify capital expenditure needs and prepare justifications. Ensure the maintenance, calibration, and optimal functionality of all laboratory equipment and infrastructure. Drive key quality processes such as measurement system analysis and round robin testing to ensure accurate, repeatable results. Maintain laboratory quality and environmental systems in compliance with industry standards and Fuchs' certification and accreditation requirements. Enforce company policies related to staff discipline, occupational health & safety, quality, and environmental practices, ensuring adherence across the department. Manage ISOPro investigations and implement corrective actions for quality or compliance issues. Conduct regular performance reviews, identifying training and development opportunities to nurture a high-performing team. Provide expert technical support to internal teams and external clients, assisting with the preparation of reports and addressing any technical queries. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management systems within the laboratory, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards. Key Qualifications & Experience: Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or an equivalent qualification. Advanced computer literacy and proficiency in laboratory software and systems. Proven experience in laboratory data analysis, quality control, and technical services. Personal Qualities: Exceptional computer skills, with the ability to prepare reports. Proven leadership abilities, including team management, KPI development, and the ability to drive high-quality results. Strong decision-making capabilities, with a commitment to accuracy, precision, and quality in all aspects of laboratory operations. Why Join?
