In this role, you will be integral in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and timely management of all financial activities across the business.What we're offering: Permanent full time employment Attractive salary package, to be negotiated dependent upon experienceTraining & career progression opportunitiesNew purpose-built office with great facilities and onsite parkingJoin a hands on Territory owned and operated teamKey responsibilities: Lead the management of company financials on a day-to-day basisPlanning, directing and coordinating all accounting functions within the businessMaintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policiesProvide accurate and timely financial reports on a daily / weekly / monthly basisQuarterly BAS preparation and lodgment for multiple entitiesPayroll tax, superannuation payments, fuel excise and other statutory obligationsCollate taxation documentationPrepare and manage cash flow, budget and forecasting functions on a daily / weekly / monthly basisManage/oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice verification, payment processing, and reconciliationOversee the payroll and asset management functions for the businessReconcile company bank accounts and credit cards on a regular basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies.Provide guidance on a variety of financial and accounting functionsLiaise with external AccountantsEnsure compliance with statutory law, finance and tax regulations Essential Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in a Financial Controller role within a business environmentSound accounting and business taxation knowledgeFormal qualifications advantageous – Accounting, Business, Business AdministrationDemonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to interpret Industrial Awards, and provide accurate advice when requiredExperience in managing a finance teamProficiency in MYOB and Xero Experience with SimPRO or similar project management softwareProficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Excel, Word & Teams) and Adobe/PDF X-Change Editor High attention to detail, excellent record-keeping and strong organisational skillsExcellent planning and time management skillsEnthusiastic and proactive, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and trustAbility to work independently and under minimal supervision A strong understanding of accounting procedures, including taxation and legal requirementsPunctuality and reliabilityCurrent and valid NT Driver's License
