(Expression of Interest) Project Engineer Mechanical & Process Infrastructure Bravus Mining & Resources – Rockhampton QLD The Project Engineer Mechanical & Process Infrastructure supports the design, planning, execution, commissioning, and management of Coal Handling & Preparation Plant-related projects on the Carmichael mine. They maintain Mechanical and coal process engineering standards and ensure both design and construction compliance to those standards. They provide the interface between the construction team and the designer and ensure execution quality and accuracy of as-built records. Where necessary, Project Engineers are required to be onsite to support site installations and no-load and load commissioning and verification of system performance. Key Accountabilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project scopes, objectives, and deliverables for Mechanical & Process Infrastructure engineering projects, in alignment with operational requirements and strategic goals. Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and engineering analyses to support project planning and decision-making, ensuring compliance to engineering standards, regulatory requirements and environmental standards. Develop design briefs and manage engineering proposals for design works, thereafter manage design consultants and specialists in the development of engineering designs. Prepare and/or review detailed Mechanical & Process infrastructure engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure design optimisation across projects or components of multi-disciplinary projects. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external consultants, contractors, suppliers, Operations, Site execution team and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and clearances for project execution. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely project delivery within budget constraints, while minimising risks and disruptions to ongoing operations. Review, approve and monitor contractor quality management plans as they relate to the relevant discipline to ensure that works meet design standards, specifications, and performance requirements. Control and collate quality and as-built records. When required, oversee construction activities, conduct regular site inspections, and monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety protocols, and project requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to the Construction team and Contractor(s) through providing interface with designers in the response to technical queries and requests for information. Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams during construction, startup, and operation, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. Document project progress, issues, and lessons learned, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for management review and decision-making. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve project delivery processes and outcomes. Location & Roster Project engineering roles will be Townsville / Rockhampton based and are required to be onsite based as required. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Mechanical & Process infrastructure engineering design, construction, commissioning and delivery in multi-disciplinary projects. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from conception to completion, within budget and schedule, while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Strong technical knowledge of Coal Handling & Preparation plant systems, standards, methodologies, equipment, and components commonly used in mining and rail operations. Proficiency in project management software tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Queensland Coal Mining and Rail industry experience. Project Engineering experience gained within a mining, heavy haul rail or Infrastructure environment. Current Coal Board Medicals, Standard 11, S1, S2, S3 and SARC and RIW certification.
