A Radiology Receptionist plays a vital role in the smooth functioning of the radiology department by ensuring excellent patient service, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining the flow of information between patients, radiologists, and medical staff. Key Responsibilities:

* Documentation & Registration:
o Verify and update patient information (demographic, insurance, medical history) in the system.
o Ensure that all necessary forms are completed and filed properly, including consent forms and billing information.
* Patient Flow Management:
o Monitor patient wait times and ensure that patients are checked in and out efficiently.
o Direct patients to the appropriate waiting areas and provide guidance about the radiology process.
o Communicate with radiologists and technicians to inform them of patient arrivals and any special requirements for each procedure.
* Insurance and Billing:
o Verify insurance information and check coverage for specific radiology procedures.
o Assist patients with billing inquiries and payments, including co-pays or insurance verification.
o Collaborate with the billing department to ensure that procedures are accurately coded for reimbursement.
* Organise and maintain patient records, ensuring that medical imaging files (e.g., X-rays, MRIs, CT scans) are correctly archived and accessible.
