About the Role The Quality, WH&S & Risk Lead plays a critical role in the development, coordination, and maintenance of True’s comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) framework, alongside risk management and quality practices. This position is key in ensuring compliance with WHS regulations, fostering a safe and healthy work environment, and managing risks across all aspects of the organisation. The role will focus on leading and implementing workplace health and safety initiatives, driving the WHS strategy, conducting internal safety audits, and ensuring continuous improvement in safety standards and operational efficiency. With a strong emphasis on WHS, the Quality, WH&S & Risk Lead will drive safety awareness and establish best practices for risk mitigation across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating WHS processes, ensuring full compliance with workplace safety regulations, and promoting a safety-first culture across all levels of the organisation. This includes responding to and resolving incidents, providing ongoing safety training, and leading the development of WHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance and the health and well-being of all employees. Through collaboration with leadership and management teams, the Quality, WH&S & Risk Lead will promote safe, evidence-based practices while driving continuous improvements to prevent workplace hazards and enhance overall safety outcomes. Selection Criteria – A minimum of 3 years’ experience in quality management, workplace health and safety, or risk management, including knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and compliance requirements. – Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Management, Business Administration) or equivalent work experience. – Experience in WH&S management and understanding of the legislation. – Experience in developing, implementing, and managing quality and safety frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives. – Proven ability to lead and manage internal audits, workplace safety programs, and risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant standards. – Strong knowledge and experience in incident management, including root cause analysis and the development of corrective actions. – Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies, protocols, and training programs to enhance quality, safety, and risk management practices. – Experience in reporting and presenting quality, safety, and risk data to senior leadership, with a focus on continuous improvement. – Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to drive quality, risk, and safety initiatives. – Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. – Experience in managing budgets, external contracts, and audit processes related to quality and risk management.
