This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming contract management practices for one of Australia’s largest local governments.Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, you will lead a team of approximately 33 professionals, ensuring contracts align with legal, financial and operational requirements. Your leadership will drive supplier performance, foster strategic partnerships and embed best-practice contract lifecycle management across the City’s procurement portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee high-value contracts, ensuring compliance with statutory, financial and governance requirements.Develop and implement strategic supplier relationship frameworks, driving cost efficiencies and service improvements.Lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.Implement contract risk assessment strategies, mitigating financial and operational risks.Drive procurement innovation, leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance contract performance.About YouThe ideal candidate will have a degree in Business, Procurement, Law or a related field and extensive experience in contract management, supplier engagement and procurement governance.
