About this Position:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Librarian to lead and coordinate effective, user-focused public library services across our Ballina branches. Reporting to the RTRL Business Manager, this role will ensure our libraries meet community needs through strategic planning, resource management, and community outreach. The successful candidate will manage a team, oversee budgets, and promote literacy and library services within the region.

* Lead and mentor staff, promoting a positive team culture focused on customer service.
What you will need to be successful:
* A degree in Library and Information Services (or equivalent) and eligibility for ALIA membership.
* Proven experience managing library services, ideally in a public library setting.
* Current NSW Working with Children Check.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build community and stakeholder relationships.
* Ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, customer-focused team.

Full Time: 70 hours a fortnight
Salary: A salary range starting from $86,668 per annum + superannuation
